Peer Counseling ¨ Counselors are individuals with a disability who mentor others with disabilities. ¨ Consumers learn information about disability related legislation and how to be self-advocates. |

Information & Referral ¨ Help consumers assess their needs. ¨ Match consumers with resources, such as affordable, accessible housing and personal assistance services. ¨ Maintain a reference library with disability related information. |

Advocacy ¨ Forums or one-on-one training for consumers to learn their rights. ¨ Workshops and forums for businesses and other organizations on government regulation, disability awareness, and other related topics. ¨ Advocacy for accessible facilities, services, and opportunities. ¨ Facilitate group advocacy to improve legislation and disability service systems. |
